Glass Beadmaking: Application of Stringers & Dots

Lampworking offers many paths of creativity, and each artist has a different vision for their work. This private session allows learners to work with a master glassworker and ask questions to refine their techniques based on their skill level and what they want to focus on.

Options include (but are not limited to):

Basics: heating and gathering glass; shaping (marvering, padding, and twisting); basic shapes (round beads, barrels, cubes, cones).

Moderate: Dots; layering colors; encasing (wrapping clear glass around the piece).

Advanced: Cane pulling; latticino (twisted cane); working off-mandrel.

The facility only accommodates soft glass (soda lime, no Boro) and small projects (under 2 inches). If you would like to discuss what you want to work on before the class you may email Jannine with your ideas!

This session may be taken after the MAC Lampworking Introduction course or may count as one if you need it.
